The warehouse space, which has been leased from SEGRO since 2018, plays an important role in the clothing group's logistics network as the hub from where goods are distributed and H&M's online shop orders are processed. The company has more than 4,000 stores in almost 80 markets and sells online in 60 countries.. SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań, Gądki is strategically located on the S11 expressway, which connects via the Krzesiny junction to the A2 motorway, part of the E30 international route. The excellent location provides the company with operational flexibility and resilience to unforeseen challenges in the supply chain.

Marcin Żurowski, Head of Logistics Real Estate & Legal H&M Europe, H&M, said:

"Seven years ago, we started our operations in SEGRO's logistics park in Gądki, not only because of the convenient location, crucial for our growing business, including e-commerce activities, but mainly because at H&M we value high standards regarding sustainable development. SEGRO has been successful in meeting our expectations in this regard, providing innovative solutions that allow us to implement the next steps of our ESG strategy."

H&M's leased warehouse is BREEAM In-Use certified. It uses LED lighting, both inside and outside the building, as well as a telemetry (meter reading) system that measures water, gas and electricity consumption. It allows customers to optimise their utilities consumption and, therefore, gives them the potential for cost reduction. Earlier, as part of the adaptation of the space carried out for H&M, it was further illuminated with natural light using transparent panels in the loading gates and light strips over the docks.

Bartosz Michalski, Director, Logistics, Poland, SEGRO, comments:

"We listen carefully to our customers and focus on flexibility, so they can be sure that we will tailor our offer to the specific needs of their industry. We are particularly pleased with the satisfaction and trust of those who, like H&M, decide to further develop their business in our parks after years of successful cooperation."

SEGRO Logistics Park Poznań, Gądki’s is located just 13 kilometres from the centre of Poznań and close to the region's major transport hubs. The 20-hectare site comprises two buildings with a total warehouse space (including cross-docking) of almost 77,000 sq m: Building A of 42,500 sq m and Building B of 34,100 sq m.

An additional advantage of the park is its convenient traffic layout, with wide internal roads and manoeuvring areas, as well as parking for employees and customers. A plate recognition system is also in operation for both passenger and freight traffic. In addition, chargers for electric vehicles have been provided. The company cares not only for the needs and comfort of its customers, but also for biodiversity, with insect houses installed on the park, as well as an apiary under year-round professional care.
