SEGRO leases 3,200 square metres to Tabak Welt
SEGRO has leased 3,200 square metres of space in SEGRO Park Köln City to Dein Tabako Yilmaz GmbH, the company behind the well-known online retailer Tabak Welt, which specialises in tobacco products and e-cigarettes
This means that the business park, with a total of 58,400 square meters, is once again fully let. The lease was brokered by logistics and commercial real estate consultancy Logivest.
SEGRO Park Köln City, located in the Bickendorf district, sets standards for sustainable and energy-efficient construction. Glulam beams made from regional timber are used in the warehouses, while the LED lighting is controlled by modern motion detectors. The latest construction phases are also equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles and use energy-efficient heat pumps. Beehives, insect hotels and nesting boxes have been installed on the site to promote biodiversity.
Tim Rosenbohm, Director Light Industrial at SEGRO, says:
“With the renewed full occupancy, we are underlining the attractiveness of our modern, centrally located and sustainably designed commercial space.”
At the same time, SEGRO is already working on another project in the west of Cologne: SEGRO Park Frechen will provide 30,900 square meters of flexible and sustainable commercial space to meet the region's growing requirements.
