The area acquired by SEGRO in 2014 has a total of 53,000 square meters of modern logistics and commercial space.

Before LIT moved in, SEGRO modernized the lighting of the areas with energy-saving LED lights. This means that more than 75 percent of the hall areas in SEGRO's German logistics portfolio now have environmentally friendly LED lighting. By early 2024, SEGRO intends to complete the corresponding modernization of all logistics areas in Germany.

“We are pleased to welcome LIT as our new customer. With this letting, our space in the 'SEGRO Logistics Center Leipzig' is now fully let again," says Melanie Merholz, Associate Director Development Logistics at SEGRO in Germany.

"With our new location in Leipzig, we are further expanding our position as one of Germany's leading companies for automotive logistics and, thanks to the immediate proximity to two OEMs, we are achieving even greater market penetration. We would like to thank SEGRO Germany GmbH for the good cooperation in the search for a suitable location," says Claas Durach, Managing Director of LIT Automotive Solutions GmbH.

The "SEGRO Logistics Center Leipzig" is located next to the BMW plant and the Leipzig Exhibition Center and has direct access to the A14. Both Leipzig/Halle Airport and the A9 can be reached via this in just a few minutes. In addition, there are bus stops near the Logistics Center, which means that the location is very well connected to public transport in Leipzig.

Other tenants in the "SEGRO Logistics Center Leipzig" are the logistics companies Rhenus Logistics and Ceva Logistics as well as Magna Exteriors, a subsidiary of the automotive supplier Magna International.
