TIER Mobility previously rented 800 square meters in the SEGRO Park Düsseldorf-Süd, which will be occupied by the Japanese mechanical engineering company TOTANI in March.

TIER Mobility, a fast-growing e-scooter and e-bike rental company founded in 2018, uses the space at SEGRO for vehicle maintenance and battery charging. The company is also already renting space from SEGRO in Cologne. Founded in 1961, TOTANI is a market leader in the production of machines that produce packaging such as pouches and bags for various uses.

Both commercial areas of SEGRO were built according to modern standards for sustainable, ecological and energy-conscious construction. In addition to green areas, the site also offers beehives, insect hotels and nesting holes for native birds. In addition, laminated wood beams from the region were used in some of the halls. In the objects, modern motion detectors control the LED lighting, which is supplemented with plenty of daylight. Together with seating in the countryside, this contributes to the increased well-being of the tenants in their working environment. The areas also offer charging facilities for e-vehicles. Photovoltaic systems are currently being planned for the hall roofs.

“We are very pleased that we can enable TIER Mobility to move to Düsseldorf at short notice and thus enable further growth. The direct re-letting of the vacated space to TOTANI illustrates the great flexibility of our space, which is also ideal for manufacturing companies," says Oliver Kuropka, Associate Director Development Light Industrial at SEGRO.

REALOGIS Immobilien Düsseldorf GmbH acted as intermediary for the rental of TOTANI.

About the SEGRO Park Düsseldorf City and the SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Süd

The urban commercial park SEGRO Park Düsseldorf City is located in Düsseldorf's Fichtenstraße on the approximately ten hectare former site of the world-famous steel construction company "Hein, Lehmann & Co". Located between Düsseldorf Central Station and the Höherweg car mile, it offers urban storage, production and leisure areas.

The SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Süd is also a revitalization of industrial space - in this case of the former paper mill Feldmühle, later of Stora Enso. The area is located at Bonner Strasse 317-363 and lies between the Reisholz port, the industrial area of southern Düsseldorf and the Benrath Residence, which is famous for its palace and park. The SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Süd is optimally connected to the motorway network and the airport and is around ten kilometers from downtown Düsseldorf. There is a tram stop right in front of the site. From there, the subway station Holthausen and the train station Benrath can be reached in about five minutes.
