The online retailer Relaxdays, the largest e-commerce company in Central Germany, will use the space as a central distribution warehouse to deliver to its web shop customers throughout Europe. On site were besides Dr. Jürgen Ude, State Secretary for Structural Change and Large-Scale Settlements in Saxony-Anhalt and Steffen Kunnig, Mayor of Kabelsketal, including Martin Menz, Founder and Managing Director of Relaxdays, and Christopher Gigl, Investment Director at SEGRO in Germany.

“The construction for Relaxdays is the largest built-to-suit project that we have ever realized in Germany. In order for such a major project to run smoothly, everyone involved had to pull together,” says Gigl.

It consists of two parts of the building, the first section of which was completed in August 2021. The two buildings have the sustainability certificate DGNB Gold and have a fitness and yoga area as well as a roof terrace for the employees. 33 companies and 140 people were working on the construction site. The construction company Goldbeck was responsible for the construction measures as general contractor. In addition, SEGRO was supported in project management by the engineering office for construction management dörpinghaus & divisek. The installation of photovoltaic systems on the entire roof, which will generate more than 3.8 MWh of electricity per year, is currently being planned. E-charging stations are also available.

SEGRO is currently developing around 12,000 square meters on the site as an extension for Nagel and almost 8,800 square meters for another existing tenant. As soon as these two projects are completed, the "SEGRO Logistics Park Leipzig-Airport" will have 211,000 square meters of rental space.

The "SEGRO Logistics Park Leipzig-Airport" is located in Eichenallee in Kabelsketal and is characterized by its direct proximity to Leipzig/Halle Airport. Located directly on the B 6, there is also an excellent connection via the A 9 and A 14 motorways in the direction of Dresden, Halle and Kassel.
