The cooperation between SEGRO and the Foundation is part of the "Responsible SEGRO" project and offers a comprehensive service to support disadvantaged young people aged 16+ living in institutional care (children's homes and halfway houses) in entering the labor market.

In 2020, almost 120 young people received assistance under the Social Personnel Agency for six months. Activities included creating a CV, arranging interviews and finding a new job for those who needed it. Young people were able to work with professionals and mentors who prepared them for job interviews and strengthened their work habits. As a result of the program, almost half of the participants got a job. This assistance was particularly important given the difficult labor market conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, for the second time, SEGRO has decided to support the Tereza Maxová Foundation in the year 2021 of the Social Personnel Agency program.

"We are convinced that giving a job opportunity to disadvantaged young people is a very important form of help for this group of the population, which is one of the most vulnerable. Especially at this time, when the pandemic has reduced the supply of jobs. We are therefore very grateful for the support of SEGRO and we believe that together we will make it easier for many young people to start their lives, says Terezie Sverdlinová from the Tereza Maxová Foundation for Children.

"The three priorities of the 'Responsible SEGRO' program are promoting low-carbon growth, investing in local communities and the environment, and caring for talent. Cooperation with the Tereza Maxová Foundation fits perfectly into our goals, because it supports the development of young people from unprivileged backgrounds focused on employment. We are very proud of the results of 2020 and we hope that thanks to this year, even more young people will be able to find their future employer and improve their living conditions, " says Irena Lankusova, Associate Director, Asset Management, Czech Republic SEGRO.
