By October 2021, 16 flexible units with 800 to 10,000 square meters of space will be created, which can be rented immediately. So far, 25,000 square meters of commercial space have already been completed in CityPark, which are to be expanded to a total of 55,000 square meters. Now that the construction phase has started, 42,000 square meters will be available.

"In view of the strong demand for our downtown commercial space despite the pandemic and the associated crisis, we have now been able to start expanding our SEGRO CityPark Cologne as planned," says Simon Czerwinski, Leasing Manager at SEGRO.

In addition, C-Serve GmbH, a logistics company and wholesaler for C-parts such as screws, nuts and spare parts for industrial plants, has been acquired as a new tenant for 800 square meters in the CityPark's existing areas. This means that around 82 percent of the existing space is rented. In addition, two further areas of 800 square meters each have already been reserved. An area of 3,200 square meters is still available for immediate occupation. "Our areas convinced C-Serve because they offer a representative building and also meet all the technical requirements for logistical use," says Czerwinski.

Users on the site include Deutsche Post, Delicato Foodservice, Alvero Büromöbelvermietung, the online retailer Kapten & Son, deintorte.de and Shirtee, a company specializing in digital printing.

The SEGRO CityPark Cologne is located on Vitalisstraße in Cologne-Bickendorf on the former AkzoNobel factory premises. The Technologiepark train station offers connections to the S-Bahn and regional train network. In addition, the district is served by four subway lines, so that the location can be easily reached by public transport. In addition, the district with the A 1 and A 57 is optimally connected to the motorway network. The railway siding on the property also offers the potential to shift freight traffic from road to rail.
