SEGRO has pre-let around 7,300 square meters of logistics space in the new SEGRO Logistics Center Krefeld II to GS Yuasa Battery Germany GmbH. The lease has a term of more than ten years and begins on April 15, 2019.

The Japanese parent company GS YUASA Corporation specializes in the manufacture, marketing and sale of lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries and celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. The batteries manufactured by GS YUASA are used both by industry and in the motorcycle and automotive sectors. The company employs around 15,000 people at a total of 38 locations in 17 countries. The new and larger location in Krefeld enables the German branch with more than 30 employees to continue to grow in sales, marketing and logistics.

The SEGRO Logistics Center Krefeld II is currently being developed. In addition to two units rented to GS YUASA, almost 3,000 square meters of speculative logistics space are being built. Completion is scheduled for April 2019.

“The connections to the trunk roads between the Netherlands, Belgium and the Ruhr area make the SEGRO Logistics Center Krefeld II an optimal logistics location. With the development of the space, we are reacting to the high demand for high-quality and well-connected logistics space," says Christopher Gigl, Development Manager at SEGRO.

The SEGRO Logistics Center Krefeld II is connected to the BAB 44 via the Krefeld-Fichtenhain junction and offers very good transport connections. With various bus and tram lines, the connection to local public transport is also guaranteed.
