The project will culminate in a vibrant public art trail across Slough and Windsor this July to September, transforming everyday spaces into a free, open-air gallery while raising vital funds for hospice care.

Heather Peel, Manager at SEGRO, said: “Thames Hospice provide exceptional palliative and end-of-life care, offering vital support to families across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire and we are incredibly proud to support their ‘Trunks across the Thames’ art trail initiative by providing a dedicated creative space where elephant sculptures will be brought to life through beautifully imagined and intricately painted designs. It’s a fantastic way for businesses and the wider community to come together behind a truly meaningful cause.”

What is Trunks across the Thames?
Thames Hospice's Trunks across the Thames is a public art trail set to transform Slough and Windsor from 13th July to 13th September. Featuring up to 30 majestic elephant sculptures, each uniquely designed and painted by professional local artists and sponsored by local businesses, the trail will turn the towns into a dazzling open-air gallery.

The campaign will raise vital funds for Thames Hospice while promoting community engagement and awareness across the local area, including an education programme for schools and young children.

What is the opportunity?
The trail will bring fresh cultural energy, increased footfall and positive media attention - creating shared value for Slough Trading Estate and everyone working within it.

For Trading Estate businesses, it is a visible opportunity to support Thames Hospice, engage employees, strengthen local connections, and enhance brand reputation.

It has the potential to deliver:

  • Enhanced profile in the local area through the art trail in Summer 2026, and depending on your business, increased customer attraction.
  • Excellent B2B networking opportunities.
  • PR and storytelling opportunities to reach the local community.
  • Employee engagement opportunities.
  • A chance to be part of a lasting legacy on Slough Trading Estate.
