Over the last three years, the SEGRO Community Investment Programme (CIP) has worked with over 140 customers and 121 suppliers as well as public sector partners, who have teamed up with SEGRO employees to make a positive impact on thousands of lives in Slough and the surrounding areas.

Collectively, the programme has inspired over 25,000 students about the world of work, completed over 100 environmental-enhancing community projects, delivered almost 2,500 days of volunteering and helped over 750 unemployed people find a new job.

SEGRO is committed to building on this invaluable work by providing even more customers with easily accessible opportunities to make a real difference to their local community through a wide range of initiatives and projects, which could include:

  • Careers advice and guidance
  • School visits
  • Work experience
  • Mentorship
  • Interview skills and CV training
  • Environment projects
  • Pro-Bono advice

Sally-Anne Williams, Early Careers Partner, John Crane, said: “Partnering with SEGRO to deliver inclusive engineering workshops to introduce young people in the local community to the world of engineering has proven to be an inspiring and rewarding experience for everyone at our company.”

Colette Sharp, Partnership Development Manager, SEGRO, said:  “It is a win-win opportunity for customers to make a tangible difference to their local community while supporting their own social value and business goals.”
