State-of-the-art light industrial park in Düsseldorf Flingern

On the site of the former Thyssen premises between Königsberger Straße and Höherweg, our state-of-the-art light industrial park is being developed: the SEGRO Park Düsseldorf Flingern.

When developing our parks, it is important for us not only to construct modern buildings but also to create added value for residents and municipalities. We are developing a comprehensive concept that includes well-being and biodiversity, thus creating a place for the community to linger.

Environmental protection measures and green construction practices are an integral part of the concept to reduce the sealing of new areas and to renaturate them.

We aim not only to attract local and regional players but also to create space for countless jobs. The flexible future rental spaces will be attractive to customers from various industries and with different concepts.

Location

Duration of demolition works

  • Start: November 2023
  • Expected completion: May 2024

Noise-intensive activities

Throughout the entire period of demolition works, there may be increased noise emissions. These can be caused by:

  • Equipment and machinery
  • The demolition process itself (such as falling objects and building components)

Measures for noise reduction

  • Noise-intensive activities will be limited to regular working hours on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Noise-reducing walls and components will be demolished last, as far as the demolition process allows.

--> This reflects the sound and does not emit directly into the local environment, significantly reducing noise pollution.

DGNB certification

DGNB certification is being sought for the demolition.

Demolition process

The construction site with existing buildings is shown in the following figure. The grey-highlighted buildings will be demolished during the demolition works. The demolition of the buildings will proceed approximately from east to west.
