The LTA is the National Governing Body of tennis and padel in Great Britain, governing and growing the sport from grassroots participation through to the professional game. Its vision is to open up tennis and padel, harnessing them and working with schools, volunteers, coaches and venues across the whole country to transform communities.

SEGRO is one of Europe’s leading owners, developers and managers of modern warehousing, industrial property and data centres. It creates the space to enable extraordinary things to happen, driving growth, investment and job creation and supporting customers from a wide range of sectors, from retail and manufacturing to global logistics and technology.

As part of the partnership, SEGRO will work with the LTA across the 2026 season to support the sport at both a national and community level. This includes the launch of a brand-new grassroots padel initiative. The LTA is committed to making padel more accessible to diverse audiences, particularly underserved communities, so more people can benefit from being active.

The partnership builds on SEGRO’s existing long-standing and market leading community investment programme supporting the communities around its estates, with the LTA’s ambition to open up racket sports to more people, particularly children and young people, women and those from underserved backgrounds.

SEGRO will provide its experience in delivering award-winning initiatives which invest in local projects, skills and employment opportunities, to help the LTA develop the grassroots initiative, with the aim of making participation in padel and tennis more inclusive and accessible.

Padel is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. In Great Britain, participation has grown from around 15,000 players in 2019 to more than 860,000 at the end of 2025. The growth is supported by a rapidly expanding infrastructure with 1,553 padel courts available across 559 venues at the end of 2025.

James Craddock, UK Managing Director at SEGRO, said:

“SEGRO is a business rooted in places and the communities around them. This partnership with the LTA reflects our commitment to widening opportunity and supporting wellbeing through sport. By also working in tandem to deliver a new grassroots padel programme, we are helping to remove barriers to participation and open up the sport to more communities across the UK.”

Scott Lloyd, Chief Executive of the LTA, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome SEGRO as an official partner to the LTA. We remain deeply committed to opening up tennis and padel to more diverse audiences, enabling more people to experience the physical and mental health benefits of being active. This partnership will help us extend our reach into new communities and accelerate the impact of our padel community initiatives, supporting more people, particularly young people and those from underserved backgrounds, to pick up a racket, and enjoy all that tennis and padel can offer.”
