Full occupancy in the "SEGRO Park Köln City": Crown forklifts rent the last commercial space
SEGRO has leased the last available commercial space to Crown forklift trucks in its "SEGRO Park Köln City".
The German subsidiary of the US Crown Equipment Corporation will use the space for the sale, service and repair of forklifts. The commercial real estate consultant Colliers acted as an intermediary for the letting.
With the letting that has now taken place, SEGRO has fully let the existing space in "SEGRO Park Köln City" much faster than expected. From the third quarter of 2023, further new commercial units from around 1,500 square meters and thus the last component will be available on the site.
“The fact that we were able to win Crown, one of the world's leading forklift truck manufacturers, as the last tenant in the park further rounds off the mix of uses. Above all, our representative and high-quality buildings were decisive for this lease,” says Simon Czerwinski, Associate Director Development Light Industrial at SEGRO. The users of the area already include Deutsche Post, Delicato Foodservice, Alvero Büromöbelvermietung, the online retailer Kapten & Son, deintorte.de, the company Shirtee, which specializes in digital printing, the 0221 Mediagroup and the TV production company Entertainment TV Ehrenfeld.
SEGRO Park Köln City is located on Vitalisstraße in the Bickendorf district of Cologne on the former AkzoNobel factory premises. The "technology park" covers around 43,000 square meters. The site offers connections to the S-Bahn and regional train network. In addition, the district is served by four subway lines, so that the location can be easily reached by public transport. In addition, the district with the A 1 and A 57 is optimally connected to the motorway network. The railway siding on the site of SEGRO Park Köln City also offers the potential to shift freight traffic from road to rail.
