TIER Mobility rents 2,300 square meters in the “SEGRO Park Köln City”
SEGRO has leased around 2,300 square meters of commercial space to TIER Mobility in the “SEGRO Park Köln City” business park
The company, a fast-growing rental company for e-scooters, e-mopeds and e-bikes founded in 2018, moved into the space at the beginning of September and intends to use it for vehicle maintenance and battery charging. TIER Mobility is already using SEGRO space in Düsseldorf.
“The areas that have already been developed enable us to seamlessly re-let and fully lease,” says Simon Czerwinski, Associate Director Development Light Industrial at SEGRO. From the third quarter of 2023, further new commercial units from around 1,600 square meters from the last expansion phase of the site will be available on the site. The site currently has a rental area of around 43,000 square meters, which will increase to 55,000 square meters after the completion of the last expansion.
The area is characterized by its sustainability. It has buildings with green roofs, intelligent systems for determining energy savings, and beehives, insect hotels and nesting boxes to promote biodiversity. In addition, a photovoltaic system is currently being planned and charging stations for electric vehicles are to be put into operation in the near future. The “SEGRO Park Köln City” is located on Vitalisstraße in the Bickendorf district of Cologne on the former AkzoNobel factory premises. The site offers connections to the S-Bahn and regional train network. In addition, the district is served by two subway lines, so that the location can be easily reached by public transport. In addition, the district with the A 1 and A 57 is optimally connected to the motorway network.
The users of the business park include Deutsche Post, Delicato Foodservice, Alvero Büromöbelvermietung, the online retailer Kapten & Son, deintorte.de, the company Shirtee, which specializes in digital printing, the 0221 Mediagroup and the TV production company Entertainment TV Ehrenfeld.
