The company will use the space to maintain its rental vehicles. SEGRO has thus achieved full occupancy of the modern and urban area with around 55,000 square meters of rental space for the first time.

"With their urban location and good connections, our modern spaces are ideally suited as service areas for urban mobility concepts," says Oliver Kuropka, Associate Director Development Light Industrial at SEGRO. "TIER's sustainable approach also perfectly complements our area, which is geared towards ESG criteria." Only recently, TIER took over Nextbike, which is already a tenant at SEGRO in Cologne.

The SEGRO Park Düsseldorf-Süd is a revitalization of industrial space on the site of the former Feldmühle paper mill, later owned by Stora Enso. The young commercial area was built according to modern standards for sustainable, ecological and energy-conscious construction. For example, wood from the region was used for the glued laminated timber in the halls and the LED lighting is controlled by modern motion detectors and supplemented with plenty of daylight. Together with seating in the countryside, this contributes to the increased well-being of the tenants in their working environment. In addition to beehives, there are also insect hotels and nesting holes for native birds on the site.

The area is located at Bonner Strasse 317-363 and lies between the Reisholz port, the industrial area of southern Düsseldorf and the Benrath Residence, which is famous for its palace and park. The SEGRO Park Düsseldorf-Süd is optimally connected to the motorway network and the airport and is around ten kilometers from downtown Düsseldorf. There is a tram stop right in front of the site. From there, the subway station Holthausen and the train station Benrath can be reached in about five minutes.

The brokerage company RED Property Group acted in an advisory capacity in brokering the space from SEGRO to TIER.
