July 7, 2021: SEGRO, Europe's leading heritage real estate company specializing in logistics, industrial and urban distribution properties, with a presence in Spain since 2015, consolidates its prime portfolio in Catalonia with the purchase of the 16,000 m2 plot, headquarters from the old Derbi factory in Martorelles.

With this acquisition , SEGRO reinforces its presence in Catalonia, where it currently has a total of 422,700 m2 (189,700 m2 of built area and 233,000 m2 under development), in key locations with excellent communications to the city of Barcelona, the airport and the port. of Barcelona, as well as with rapid access to the roads of the two main logistics axes: the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

Regarding the closing of the operation, the General Director of SEGRO Spain, David Alcázar has declared:

- “The acquisition of this land responds to our strategy of sustainable growth, within the framework of our Responsible SEGRO program, which is based on the regeneration of disused or obsolete industrial lots and on the economic and social revitalization of the areas in which we are present: reactivating the business fabric, creating quality jobs, promoting social policies to improve the quality of life, etc. Great examples, also in Martorelles, are the warehouse of the old New Pol washing machine factory and the facilities of the Manaut heating and motorcycle component brand, which we bought in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

- “All our new development projects are based on our “Green First” philosophy whose objective is to prioritize sustainability, both in the construction of the building itself and during its useful life, guaranteeing energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. , generating value in the communities where we establish ourselves”.
