The McDonald’s restaurant and Drive-Thru at SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway will create at least 65 jobs and will include outdoor seating, a play frame and 44 car parking spaces. Planning for the Drive-Thru and restaurant was granted by Kettering Council in May this year.

SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway is a major new development providing up to 1.2 million sq ft of industrial and warehousing space in the heart of the Midlands. Adjacent to the A14, it is ideally positioned for drivers wanting to pick up refreshments or have a break from their journeys. It also offers easy access to the UK’s major motorways, ports, railways and airports, enabling deliveries to reach over 90% of the UK population within four hours.

Andrew Pilsworth, SEGRO’s Business Unit Director, National Logistics, said:

“The McDonald’s restaurant and Drive-Thru will not only be a great food and drink service for those working at SEGRO Park Kettering, it will also create at least 65 jobs for the local community. Despite the ongoing global pandemic, progress at the site is going well with the first phase of this scheme already complete.”

McDonald’s Spokesperson, said:

“We are pleased to be progressing with this new restaurant at SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway, which will create at least 65 jobs and bring significant investment to the local area.”

Developed to the highest specification, SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway incorporates first-rate sustainability credentials, including carbon neutral build options, rainwater harvesting, solar thermal heating and a minimum BREEAM `Very Good’ rating. It also benefits from 10 Megawatts of power available on the site.

SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway has already signed its first customer, Bunzl Plc, who is leasing 230,000 sq ft of space to continue to consolidate its warehouse footprint and improve the quality of its operations. The new warehouse provides a workplace for around 100 people and also features an innovation centre enabling Bunzl to showcase its products and services to customers

SEGRO Park Kettering Gateway is adjacent to Latimer Business Park, which is home to a range of market leading brands, including Morrisons, Weetabix and Alpro, and Hanwood Park, the 5,500 house urban extension to the east of Kettering.
