SEGRO has leased almost 3,200 square meters of logistics space in the SEGRO CityPark Cologne to the Jäger Group. The Jäger Group was previously based in Ravensburg and specializes in the rental and sale of event technology. She will move into the new space on Vitalisstraße as soon as the official usage permit has been granted. The rented areas consist of 2,750 square meters of hall space, 350 square meters of office space and 100 square meters of storage mezzanine space.

"With the Jäger Group, we can welcome the first tenant to our new CityPark Cologne," says Simon Czerwinksi, Leasing Manager at SEGRO. Since two construction phases have already been completely completed, interested parties have immediate access to areas ranging from 800 to 9,500 square meters. As soon as all buildings are erected, SEGRO will offer flexible space for around 40 companies. The former factory site, which SEGRO acquired from AkzoNobel, is currently undergoing a comprehensive revitalization. Five buildings with a total of 55,500 square meters of rental space are being built. Of this, 40,400 square meters is hall space, 8,600 square meters is office space and 6,500 square meters is service space. Depending on the building, the areas have a ceiling height of eight or ten meters. The project illustrates the successful integration of state-of-the-art commercial architecture into an urban environment.

“In a very central location, the CityPark offers a unique opportunity for last-mile logistics companies and medium-sized companies to settle here. Due to the lack of suitable land, such areas close to the center can hardly be created anymore - neither in Cologne nor in any other German metropolis," emphasizes Czerwinski.

The Technologiepark train station offers connections to the S-Bahn and regional train network. In addition, the district is served by four subway lines, so that the location can be easily reached by public transport. In addition, the district is optimally connected to the motorway network with the A1 and A57. The railway siding on the site offers the potential to shift freight traffic from road to rail.

The brokerage company Greif & Contzen acted as an intermediary.
