Experts from Cushman & Wakefield brokered the transaction between SEGRO and AQ Wiring Systems.

So far, AQ Wiring Systems has occupied over 8,800 m2 in the existing building within the SEGRO Logistics Park Łódź. In connection with the planned development of its long-term client, SEGRO, the park manager and owner, purchased an additional 4.6 ha plot in 2018 to implement a new, tailor-made development project. The newly constructed facility comprises over 9,600 sq m of warehouse and production space and nearly 2,700 sq m of modern office space. The building will be able to be expanded by another 5,000 m2 in the future.

The new production hall, which is scheduled for commissioning in the second quarter of 2019, will be equipped with 8 docks and 2 "0" gates, and its entire area will be cooled. In turn, in the office space there are, among others, comfortable conference rooms equipped with a modern reservation system. In the interests of both the staff's comfort and the natural environment, energy-efficient LED lighting will be installed throughout the plant. A great convenience for employees will be more parking spaces: there will be 300 parking spaces for passenger cars and 6 for trucks. The building will undergo BREEAM certification.

- The demand for additional, dedicated production space is a consequence of a balanced and well-thought-out company's development strategy. It results from long-term relationships with our business partners. Thanks to the successful cooperation with SEGRO, it was this developer that we decided to entrust the construction of our new plant in Łódź. In connection with the development, we also plan to hire new employees - our staff will increase by 200 people - emphasizes Mariusz Kopeć, Managing Director, AQ Wiring Systems.

- Łódź is a city distinguished by its strategic location on the map of Poland, which is why it is an excellent location for warehouse space. We are glad that by implementing the project for AQ Wiring Systems, we can contribute to the development of our client in Central Poland, and that the company has decided to trust us again - says Waldemar Witczak, Regional Director of SEGRO.

SEGRO Logistics Park Łódź is situated in a strategic location, not far from the A2 motorway (Warsaw-Poznań-Berlin) and in the immediate vicinity of the "Łódź East" junction of the A1 motorway (Gdańsk-Cieszyn).
