A fund totalling £115,000 has been launched by SEGRO, the industrial and logistics property owner, manager and developer and a new round for applications to receive money has been opened.

The SEGRO Community fund combines the existing London Community and Thames Valley Community Funds which benefit organisations and charities located within the areas where SEGRO operates. Both funds will continue to operate independently, retaining their existing close relationships with their respective communities.

The Thames Valley Community Fund, which will continue to be administered by the Berkshire Community Foundation, and London Community Fund, administered by the London Community Foundation, helped 1,984 beneficiaries in 2017.

With the increased levels of development activity happening across the East London as part of the unique partnership between the Greater London Authority and SEGRO, the SEGRO Community Fund is interested in working with disadvantaged communities in the London Borough of Havering.

Organisations can apply for funding in the Thames Valley at http://www.berkshirecf.org/grants/segro-community-fund/. London organisations should apply at https://londoncf.org.uk/grants/segro-community-fund-for-london. Applicants can receive grants up to £5,000.

Neil Impiazzi, Partnership Development Director, SEGRO said:

“We are delighted to launch the new SEGRO Community Fund and we look forward to building on the support we are providing communities across the Thames Valley and London. Dovetailing our community funds allows us to continue our close relationships across the regions where we have an active presence, while providing a more efficient and holistic approach to our community funding.

“We are acutely aware of the role our business plays in our local communities, and are proud of the impact we have made to date. The SEGRO Community Fund gives us the framework to build on our achievements and help further improve the lives of local people.”
