The former coal-fired power plant site between Dortmund and Castrop-Rauxel is being redeveloped into a future-ready location. On the approximately 60-hectare site, a modern park with a range of different use profiles is being created.
The development will provide space for large-scale logistics, flexible light industrial uses and urban logistics concepts, offering a total lettable area of more than 200,000 square metres.
The park offers an exceptional range of space solutions. Three clearly defined product types address a wide variety of logistics and light industrial requirements within an integrated location concept – from large-scale logistics to flexible light industrial units and urban logistics.
The future truck drivers can expect a high level of comfort on site, with premium rest areas, including showers and other amenities. To avoid disturbing residents with parked vehicles, 35 truck parking spaces are planned.
Recreational and sports areas are also being designed for employees. All rooftops and parts of the facades will be greened, contributing not only to biodiversity but also helping to prevent the area from overheating. In addition, only light-colored road surfaces will be used to reflect sunlight.
