The Day of Giving is a core element of SEGRO’s commitment to deliver positive socio-economic impact in the communities that live close to where it owns and operates major industrial, logistics and data centre facilities. Over the past decade, hundreds of employees and suppliers have contributed their time and expertise to delivering over 3,000 volunteering days to support in excess of 320 community projects.

This year in the UK, 142 colleagues and suppliers participated in volunteering activity across 13 community projects across food poverty alleviation and redistribution, environmental and sustainability activities, wellbeing, as well as practical, hands-on support such as mentoring and employability initiatives.

Neil Impiazzi, Partnership Development Director at SEGRO, said:

“The Day of Giving is one of the most important days in our calendar, not just in the UK but across our European markets too and we are proud to be marking its 10th anniversary. It demonstrates our long-standing commitment to the communities in which we operate and provides colleagues with the opportunity to make a tangible contribution on the ground.

Over the past decade, it has been encouraging to see levels of engagement grow across our markets, reflecting a sustained and collective commitment to our community partnerships.”
