SEGRO plays with the "biggest orchestra in the world"!
SEGRO has once again made warehouse space available to the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy Foundation.
From the logistics park in Ożarów, shipments to the staff of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Poland and abroad will be organized. SEGRO, a leading developer, owner and manager of modern warehouse space, is once again committed to charity.
For over a month, a module with an area of 2,300 m2 in SEGRO Business Park Warsaw, Ożarów will become the logistics center of Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy. From December 1, 2020 to January 15, 2021, part of one of the buildings will function as a distribution hub for the staffs involved in the organization of the 29th GOCC Final.
- Charitable activity is one of the pillars of our company. In turn, support for the health service, which is the main goal of the Orchestra's work, is particularly important in the present situation. We are looking forward to another collaboration with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. In the spring, during the first wave of the pandemic, we were able to help by providing space for the storage of personal protective equipment and medical equipment for Polish hospitals. Now we are working together for the 29th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity - emphasizes Magdalena Szulc, SEGRO's Director for Central Europe.
In April, SEGRO made the facility in the same park available to the Foundation at no cost. At that time, this area served as a storage room for personal protective equipment and items of medical equipment, including surgical masks or protective helmets, intended for health care facilities throughout Poland. The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, using the warehouse space provided, was able to distribute funds to hospitals, nursing homes and other health care facilities on an ongoing basis.

Today, we cannot do without a professional place, so thank you very much that once again, after the spring pandemic action, we can use the beautiful magazine by organizing the 29th Finale of the Orchestra - says Jurek Owsiak, President of the Board of the WOŚP Foundation.
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity has been working to save life and health for almost thirty years. Millions of Poles are involved in the Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity organized every year. During the last, 28th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, over 186 million zlotys were collected for children's surgical medicine. The motto of this year's collection is: "Final with the head". The Foundation, with the help of thousands of volunteers around the world, will raise funds for the purchase of equipment for ENT, ENT and head diagnostics. Traditionally, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Final will be held on the second Sunday of January.
