Current construction activity

High level schedule of current works

Thank you for visiting our current construction page. This will be regularly updated for the latest activities. 

In the meantime, please contact us with any questions. 

  • Earthworks on the main site are underway.
  • Area 2 east of Midland Main Line - VolkerFitzpatrick installing rail chord drainage and associated rail assets.

Dates for the off site road works:

  • Work Section London Colney Roundabout  – white lining and some additional works taking place at night from 18th May 2026. Roundabout remains open.
  • Work Section A414 westbound - works under way. Pedestrian Management, footpath diversion in place towards A414 underpass.
  • These works create a new shared pedestrian cycle footpath
  • Work Section Park Street Roundabout - 5 weeks of planned nights have been accommodated in days so far. The next block of night working will commence 26th May 2026 after the bank holiday.
  • These works create - an additional A405 entry lane - an A414 (east arm) exit lane - a third circulatory carriageway lane - signalisation on the A414 and A405 arms which allows easier access onto the roundabout from Park Street and Watling Street - Improvements to the A405 pedestrian crossing - increased drainage capacity to mitigate against current and future flooding - upgrades to existing services 
  • Work Section A414 new roundabout development access - awaiting dates 2026
  • Work Section Radlett Road A5183 southern access junctions  - awaiting dates 2027
  • Work Sections M25 Junction 21a & Junction 22 works - awaiting dates 2027
