10,000 Black Interns
10,000 Black Interns is an initiative that aims to transform the horizons and prospects of young black people in the UK through paid work experience and world-class training programmes.
SEGRO has joined with firms from 24 different sectors to provide a kaleidoscope of opportunities covering a wide range of different functions and careers and appointed a team to support this project. We are proud to be part of this crucial and inspiring initiative that will create 2,000 internships a year for five consecutive years.
Participating as part of the Property, Housing & Construction sector, we are providing two internships that open the door to a multitude of career paths, both at SEGRO and beyond.
The structured programme includes seats in asset management, development and investment, as well as head office experience where interns gain first-hand insights into the impact of sustainability strategies, technology and digital transformation in this space.

Why go into this space
Every day we are influenced by the built environment around us: shops, offices, industrial buildings, houses and the surrounding countryside all have an impact on the way we live. Did you ever wonder how these properties are developed, whether the buildings going up around you are sustainable or how much they are worth?
SEGRO is both a creator of exceptional buildings and an enabler for our customers, employees and local communities to achieve extraordinary things. Understanding the needs of these groups and how they might change has been at the heart of our business for over 100 years and is essential to our continued success.
Build your future
Roles in this sector range from a building surveyor or a development manager to a sustainability consultant or a financial analyst. Businesses and service providers will always need suitable spaces, and these spaces need to be fit for purpose, for the future as well as for now.
One of the most exciting aspects of industrial and commercial real estate development and management is that the spaces we operate in, and the things we enable, are in a constant process of evolution and iteration. The pace of change can be fast. Your future role may not yet exist. Or it may be waiting for you to come along and make it your own.
