In 2015, the Greater London Authority (GLA) and SEGRO announced the formation of a development partnership to regenerate 86 acres of land at London
Riverside, East London known collectively as East Plus.
It is the largest deal of its kind between the public sector and a private land developer in the capital. The new industrial heartland will create and support
jobs for local people and attract business and investment to the area. We will deliver up to 6,500 jobs – 2,500 direct and 4,000 indirect – principally in
Barking, Dagenham and Newham, but also wider areas in East London. By creating employment opportunities, we will play a role in creating a sustainable community.
