Plans for rail link to Heathrow revealed

This week impressive preliminary plans to build an underground rail link between Slough and Heathrow Airport were unveiled at a presentation by Senior project development manager at Network rail, Malcolm Parsons, chief executive of Slough Borough Council and Thames Valley Berkshire's Local Enterprise Partnership.

Mars supports running festival

World famous global confectionary brand Mars have proudly backed the Windsor Running Festival. This year the event will take place on September 26 - 27 and will include a 40m sprint for five to nine year-olds, a 2.5 mile run, the Running4Women Windsor 10k and the Windsor Half Marathon.

First section of safer cycle and pedestrian route is now open

A new safer cycle path and pedestrian route opened on Monday, which will make commuters journeys' far more safe and enjoyable, particularly those commuting to the Slough Trading Estate.
